  • 1986
  • Playback launches and becomes Canada's preeminent Broadcast and Production Journal of record.
  • 1989
  • Strategy magazine created for the Canadian advertising industry.
  • 1996
  • Brunico goes global with Realscreen and Kidscreen magazines. Realscreen Summit and Kidscreen Summit launches follow soon after.
  • 2004
  • Media in Canada becomes the company's first successful sub-brand (Strategy magazine).
  • 2007
  • Brunico is purchased by investor group led by Russell Goldstein.
  • 2008
  • PlaybackOnline becomes our first paid-access online editorial product.
  • 2009
  • Kidscreen Awards and Realscreen Awards launched followed closely by Atomic Awards.
  • 2016
  • Brunico acquires Achilles Media and the Marketing Group from Rogers Communications.

    Russell Goldstein is President & CEO of Brunico Communications, a global leader in business media and events serving the global entertainment and marketing sectors. He is responsible for the overall development and growth of the company. Russell holds an MBA from The Richard Ivey School of Business and a BA from Washington University in St. Louis.

    Mary Maddever

    SVP, Editorial Director and Publisher, Strategy

    Mary Maddever has led content strategy and product development on Playback, Realscreen and Kidscreen, and recruited and trained teams for launches and refreshes. She currently leads teams on strategy, Media In Canada, CARDonline, Marketing and stimulant and also oversees journalistic policy and procedures for the company’s editorial brands.

    Jocelyn Christie

    VP & Publisher, Kidscreen

    As VP and Publisher of Kidscreen, Jocelyn Christie leverages her extensive knowledge of and relationships within the international kids entertainment business to help build the brand’s global leadership position and profitably expand its product offering. She has been in this role since June 2010, and with Kidscreen since 1998.

    Claire Macdonald

    VP & Publisher, Realscreen

    Claire oversees all aspects of the Realscreen brand which serves the international unscripted and factual entertainment industries. Channels include realscreen magazine, realscreen daily newsletter and realscreen.com as well as data-driven products and market-leading international events including the Realscreen Summit and Realscreen West. Additionally Claire heads up Brunico’s newest brand, Scripted — an annual market and conference dedicated to the international business of scripted entertainment.

    Linda Lovegrove

    VP Finance & Admin

    Linda has led Brunico's accounting team for over 16 years, currently supporting operations as the VP Finance and Admin. A graduate of Wilfred Laurier and a CPA, she spent the first half of her career in insurance and banking roles before finding her groove in publishing.
